A Preschool Keeping Kids Engaged in Outdoor Activities
Shepherd Christian Preschool offers an age-appropriate curriculum for kindergarten readiness. Our school is a converted horseless carriage house behind a 1917 colony house. The two-acre property gives your children the space they need to stay active and play while maintaining a focus on learning.
Hands-On Programming
In addition to the natural setting, we have a separate barn and farm area which the children help to take care of. We have an awesome friendly dog named "Buddy" and a cat "Mia", that help us teach about caring for animals. There are many benefits that come with learning animal care, including nurturing, building self-esteem, responsibility, and friendship. The children also have their own seed-planted garden and chickens that produce eggs and teaches about nature and food origination.
Individualized Care For a Well-Rounded Education
We recognize that every child is unique and ensure that each one is treated individually. As such, we nurture advanced areas and provide additional services for children who are behind. There are four teachers for twenty children, which allows us to give each student the personal attention they deserve. By the time your child leaves, expect him or her to be reading. Daily Bible studies are also an important part of our day.

For Parents
We have an open-door policy, welcoming parents and grandparents to be involved as much as they would like. If you want to help with the garden or in the classroom, we would love to have you in. We also participate in CAPSLO, a state-funded program for those who qualify that assists in tuition charges. Contact us to learn more.
